Filter sack for hop. To use mounted onto the cristal hose for hop filtering during dry hopping after the last transferring, before bottling.
The sack can be also used in the all grain production, after making the whirlpool: in general, in this case the hop residuals and proteins remain in the middle, but to be really sure that no residual flows inside bottles this filter sack is really perfect!
The sack is washable, therefore it can be used lots of time.
Size 19 x 7,5 cm
HOW TO USE THE FILTER SACK DURING DRY HOPPING:
After the transferring into the second fermenter, shear the hop sachet and pour hop pellets into the beer without mixing (pellets will break and naturally sink). To obtain the best results, hops have to stay in infusion 5-7 days, after that you can proceed with bottling.
Before the last decanting needed for bottling you have to perform the following steps:
Set the filter sack onto an extremity of the cristal hose without putting on whole hog: while pouring, the strings have to be tied tightly to the tube in order to clamp the filter sack, which will help you in collecting any hop residual. Immerse everything into a solution of 2-3 litres of water plus 1 spoon of bleach (not scented) or amuchina and soak for about 15 minutes, then rinse everything with very hot water. Insert the free extremity of the cristal tube into the fermenter tap and make the last decanting before bottling. Add the amount of sugar recommended for that beer directly inside the fermenter and then proceed with bottling.
BE CAREFUL: These filter sacks, for their sizes and shape, are designed to be mounted onto the top extremity of the hose for filtering pellet, so they can not be used during wort boiling!
