The Christmas, or Christmas beer, is a special beer, traditionally prepared in Northern Europe to combine the great "feast" of the Christmas period. It is a rather alcoholic beer, with a spicy taste, notes of dried or candied fruit, and clear sweet flavours, nearly caramel, due both to malts and spices.
This beer prefers a long aging.
The kit includes:
- 4 kg of Dry Malt (equivalent to 4,8 kg of liquid malt)
- 500 g of Milled Malt
- 500 g of dark candied sugar
- One sachet of dry yeast suited for the beer type
N.B.: for this beer it is recommended to prepare a yeast starter 2-3 days before
